What happens if I use a code I already used to activate windows xp on another windows xp?
I added another hard drive to my computer and used it by itself to see if it had an OS, sure enough it had windows xp, so I used a code I already used on another computer and it worked, will anything bad happen?
well it depends on the code. If you bought the copy of Windows XP and your trying to use it on 2 computers it will lock into the "trial" mode and will work for only 30 days before you have to activate it by calling them i believe. Ive had this happen to me so I know... but i didn't call them, i just downloaded a newer version service pack 3 (but dont tell anyone lol)...BUT if you got the code online which you can google for, it might work for several computers (thats what i have right now and it has been installed on 3 PC)
