Is there any way to make a backup copy of my Windows XP SP3 OS?
If so how can I do it? I want to have a installable OS in case I need to I can reinstall the OS onto my computer (or any other computer I want to have Windows XP on) I am running Windows XP SP3.
Two options:
1.
Make a disk image (which is a complete copy of your hard drive, including the File Tables), using a program like Norton Ghost. http://www.symantec.com/norton/ghost
2.
Make a "slipstreamed installation", which will create an XP installation disk with SP 3 included. http://www.howtohaven.com/system/slipstream-xp-service-pack-3.shtml
You'll *need* a CD burner for the second option; a burner is recommended for the first.
