Crossover network trouble?
ok i have two p4 XP pro desktop PCs and one is on a wireless network. I tried to network the two together with a crossover cable, and all I can get is limited or no conectivity.
The cable is tested and correctly wired to the ends. Both Network cards are tested and working. My goal is to get the internet to the box without the wireless connection.
I used aquire ip and gateway address and such automaticly. What should my next steps be?
have you run the internet connection sharing wizard on the machine with bot a wireless and wired nic? You need to set up the DHCP server so the 2nd pc can get an address from the first.
