windows theme missing, possible svchost error?
I recently had a virus that infected my svchost file and constantly crashed my computer, after multiple scans in and out of safe mode with multiple antivirus software and a few manual removals, i think my pc is clean. anyway, durring the manual removal, i stupidly deleted svchost.exe. i was able to recover it by using some windows program with the command prompt. The svchost is back in system32.
The problem i am having now is that the modern xp theme is missing, i can only use classic. also, i cant copy an paste files, or drag them, and when i open windows, they dont appear on the start menu. It is like this for safe mode too, i can copy but cant paste, and cant drag. I checked my options and all the options for the start menu and file properties are selected. Anyone know what the problem could be?
