Can anyone give me some tips on getting HalfLife2 to work with XP Home SP2?
I've tried Steam's support page but I stlll get lockups at transition points, sometimes at loading. It's an awesome game if only it worked, you know? I have a new machine and all the goodies.
turn all the details down for video if it's a video lockup. if it's a system lockup then hold down CTRL+ALT+DELETE and close the game and check your memory (commit charge) if it's at like 2000/2000 it's at max then you need to close off some other programs like any internet programs and other backround programs like me whenever I play a game I turn off all my other useless programs or I just turn down the priority and my game up to realtime and it works fine!
