Burning software for XP to recognize CD-RW?
I have Windows XP. I want to download some files onto a CD. I bought the re-writeable CDs not realizing that my operating system wouldn't recognize them. Someone told me I could download a software program that would let me use the CD-RW on my computer. Anybody know of a good (and free!) burning program I can download to open CD-RW on my XP? (I prefer the smallest download possible. I'm on dino dial-up, so I might have to let it download overnight.) I'll just get the CD-R if it'll take too long, but I appreciate any feedback. Thanks in advance!
thanks. that's similar to how i normally copy files to a disk when i use a CD-R, and i tried that, but it didn't work. the problem is that my computer is not recognizing that a disk is in the drive. it keeps saying "insert disk" because it can't read the CD-RW format, i guess. i need a program that will recognize the CD-RW format.
No need for any more software. Open window explorer, right click on the folders that you want and click copy. Now right click on CD drive and click paste. Done.
Make sure your drive can use CD-RW first by checking with the spec of manufacturer of the drive. Then download the software from this Nero site.
