How do i get into my bios on my windows XP?
I know the technology is old but I need to use a floppy drive again and so i took the one out of my old computer and plugged in the one i use now. its all plugged in perfect and everything. and i asked a question and they said that i had to get into my bios and make sure legacy floppy is activated.
Add hardware didnt work, it didnt get detected.
First check that the ribbon is correctly connected. If it is reversed it will fit, but is likely to have its' light permanently on, and will not work. To enter bios if you have to you normally need to press F2 or the DEL key during boot. I really see no point in using one, there are far safer and better alternatives now.
