Where is the CD-ROM drive on my computer? I have Windows XP.?
Yesterday on saturday was my birthday party. My friend John gave me "ClueFinders 5th grade Adventures". It said to put it in my CD-ROM drive. But I only have 3 slots. 1 is too small. the other one says "DVD-ROM compact disc". The other says "compact disc rewritable high speed". Which one do I use? Oh yeah, and it says," Insert the CD into your CD-ROM drive. Click yes at the install prompt. Follow the on-screen instructions. If AutoPlay is not enabled, select Start > Run > D:setup.exe" And I tried both slots. No on screen instructions. PLEASE HELP ME!!!
Either of your DVD drives should read the CD (although the 'highspeed' should be quicker). Wait for a minute to see if anything comes up on screen. If not, double click on MyPc and look for the DVD drive icon (generally a grey box with a CD sticking out of it) and the name "Cluefinders" (or similar) next to it or a picture of the "Cluefinders" Cd.
Double click on the icon and it should then either begin the installation process or open up a window where you will see an icon called 'Setup' or 'Install'. Double click that and follow the steps.
