is upgrading from windows xp media center 2004 to xp media center 2005 free?
I just got a new zune, and turns out I need at least windows xp media center 2005 in order to use the zune's software on my computer.
xp media center 2004 was installed on my computer when I bought it. No discs or anything. Will I be able to upgrade from media center 2004 to media center 2005 for free? Or will I have to pay?
You don't have to upgrade your PC to use Zune software ... I've installed the Zune software on varous different PCs I've had ... Vista and XP. I've never had "XP media center 200X" ever, at all, and the Zune software works just fine.
If there was a problem installing the Zune software from the disk that came with your Zune, then you can download the appropriate stuff from Microsoft here: http://www.zune.net/en-us/products/software/default.htm
