Can you upgrade from 32 bit vista to 64 bit windows 7 if you custom install?
I want to upgrade, and i am wondering if i can upgrade from 32 to 64, with a clean installation (all my files get deleted). And even better, If i can safely upgrade from windows vista 32 bit to windows 7 64 bit using the upgrade option.
You are using the word "upgrade" in an unusual way. You can do a clean install of 64-bit Windows 7 no matter what operating system you were using before. In that sense, it will not be an upgrade. But you can use an upgrade license to do the clean installation.
So if by "upgrade" you mean upgrade your license using an upgrade version of Windows 7, then yes. But if by "upgrade" you mean upgrade your installation without having to do a full reinstall, then no, you cannot "upgrade" from 32-bits to 64-bits as the installations are completely different.
