I have windows xp pro ver.2002 sp3. The printer spooler will not start,I've tried.RPC server unavailable.?
I tried to install a lexmark 1270 printer. I need to repair the registry somehow.Do I have to take my pc in to have windows repaired,or can I repair the registry myself.I am leery of messing with it.Is there a free MSN download to repair the registry.Searched everywhere.Help!
click start - run and in run box type msconfig and hit enter.
in system configuration utility go to services tab and search for print spooler and switch it on. click apply and restart windows. after windows re-open you may try install your printer driver.
if not work mail me, there's another ways to run print spooler but it takes a longer step and I've a meeting right now so I can't answer it now.
But generally the trick above works fine and can solve the problems.
