How much is my desktop PC worth?
I've got a custom desktop PC I built my senior year in HS (5 yrs old) that I've upgraded over the years. I recently just got a laptop for xmas and am thinking of making it my dedicated PC, but I don't want my desktop to just sit there.
Specs are:
-Antec server ATX case w/ 600w PSU
-Biostar MB (forgot the specs)
-AMD Athlon XP 2800
-1 GB DDR PC3200
-40 GB HD
-GeForce 6800 Ultra 512MB
-Sound Blaster 5.1 sound card
-4 Case fans (1 blue LED) and 1blue cathode light
-5.25" 3 fan controller with blue backlit LEDs
I'm not looking for much, but I think maybe $200-$300 is a decent range?
There are 2 things that will hurt your selling price. Biostar makes a CRAP motherboard. And it is used. The components look good on paper and all. I would think maybe $150-200. The Processor is outdated. Also means your board is only a Skt A or 754 at best. This means your RAM as you stated is slow DDR 400. 40 GB drive is quite small. So yeah probably more around the $125-150 selling price. Ask for $200 and be willing to accept an offer.

Edit: If you include the Keyboard, Mouse, Monitor, and speakers you might be in the $250 range depending on what you've got there. LCD monitor might make it worth $300. It also all depends on whether the OS comes with it or not and which OS it is.(Legal or Hacked)
