Favorite Iron (2-9) and why?
What is your favorite iron and why? Mine is the 7 Iron or "Uncle Wiggly". It is just the ultimate utility club. What about you?
My 7 Iron is a Callaway Hawkeye with a medium flex shaft.
I love my 1 iron. Low and straight about 215 yards down the middle, and especially useful for those cut and hook shots out of trouble, or a low scooter out from under the trees.
All you guys that said 7 or 8 iron - how many of you lay up with a 3-wood off the tee so you can hit from 140 to 160 yards from the green and use your favorite club? Just something to consider in the course management venue.
