Can you install any version of Vista or 7 from an Ultimate Disk?
Ok, so my question is an easy one.
I have a copy of Windows 7 Ultimate, can i use it to install 7 home premium?
And what about Vista, can i use a Visa Ultimate disk to install home basic ?
I was told with both of them, that if you use the Ultimate Disk you can install any version, its the product key that you put in that will determine what verison is installed.
Please show where you get the information if you can. thanks.
No - the disk only contains ultimate and the product key is for ultimate only. If it didn't do that then licensing would be screwed up.
