can i go from a preinstalled windows 7 to ubuntu 10.04 to windows XP?
as i know that you cant go from 7 to XP, i was wondering if you install ubuntu over windows 7, if you can go from ubuntu to XP? or will it still not let me, i want a sure answer before a try this.
You could go directly from windows 7 to windows xp. But because of the boot loader and dumb microsoft programmers, it will require a full system reformat.
Anyway, snice windows xp is an older system there is a chance that the hardware might not be able to run on Windows XP and if the harddrive is SATA you would might have to hard drive driver during installation (hard drive manufacturer should have this driver and instructions)
