Whenever I turn off the computer tower, the monitor will stay on and flash random colors. How can I fix it?
The computer brand I have is a dell, and the monitor is a flatscreen.

Its perfectly normal for your monitor to display those different colours. It is the default state the monitor is in when it is powered on but have no input from the computer. All you need to do is switch off the power button and the monitor will be switched off.
