How do I recycle a computer when I can't erase the hard drive?
I have an HP desktop with Windows XP that I want to get rid of. The tower still works OK, but unfortunately I no longer have the keyboard or mouse. I can turn the computer on, but I can't control anything to download a program to erase the hard drive.
I want to send it to a recycling place I found online. The company's site says they erase the hard drives of computers when they come in. Still, would it be safe to send off my desktop with all my personal info on it?
