sorry, i mostly use it for dvd tutorials but i want to keep the os on the primary HDD w/out messing with any program files. I want to make a smooth transition to the new hard drive with just stuff i download..i really want to free up the os
You're on the right track. The second drive should be used primarily for data storage such as MP3s or movie files. Keep any programs (Photoshop, Excel, etc.) on your first drive. After you move all of your data to your second drive, you may benefit from defragmenting your primary drive. Hope this helps.
