Are you looking for a straight-forward Starcraft 2 special edition review? If so, this quick review will tell you everything you need to know about the Starcraft II: Wings of Liberty special edition. As background information, Starcraft 2 is the follow-up game to Blizzard Entertainment's 1998 release of Starcraft. Considered by players and critics alike as one of the best real-time strategy game ever, the latest release still focuses on the battle between the races, terrans, protoss and zerg.
The new version features plenty of upgrades and brand spanking new units and abilities which allow gamers to use fresh strategies and tactics. There is a new 3D-graphics engine which renders numerous game battles and manages to offer responsive control and speed so players are not feeling like there is a "lag."
Available as a hard box set that looks like an armored ammo carrier, it sells for $90-$119 or more depending on where you buy. Released July 27, 2010, this collector's edition cost almost twice as much as the regular version.
