How do I disable the graphics card on the motherboard?
Okay, the husband just got a refurbished computer from Fry's. I bought a ATI Radeon 1600 graphics card to go with it, but when we install the graphics card the monitor will not turn on. I believe that if we disable the onboard graphics card, it will work but I don't want to risk screwing something up. HELP!!
onboard graphics can only be disabled by going into the BIOS and depending the motherboard you either press the delete button or f1 right when you first start the computer but before the windows logo pops up. look through each one to find the part about graphics and change it to disable.
