Can I use my XP/Vista recovery CD to boot camp my mac or reinstall XP on my Vista PC? Is it legal?
My Vista and XP PCs are HP Desktops. My XP recovery discs are from my old computer.
Any help will be appreciated.
Normally the recovery discs are specifically for H{ if they are HP disk. And you wont be able to do a complete install off of a recovery disk. However if you can find a xp or vista disk you can use your cd key and as long as you explain to microsoft over the phone when you try to activate it, that you are doing a reformat, its only installed on that one computer. Then you are good to go.
