How do you select a professional maid service?
I have a very busy work schedule and my apartment sadly pays the price -- I'm considering hiring a maid service, once a week or once every other week, but i don't know where to begin... are corporate services more reliable than individuals? how do I go about doing background checks (I don't have sterling silver and fine art, but I've got electronics and computers). if anyone has advice on how to begin the process, I would be most appreciative.
Most definitely ask around. I'm sure someone at your office or in your building has used a cleaning service. If not, I would go to a national cleaning company like Merry Maids or something. Chances are they have done background checks on their employees and are insured against loss and such. Good luck!
