Can I install Windows XP from an cd image of Win xp Professional Service Pack 3?
I tried a lot to run the cd image by mounting it and then starting the setup, but then the option of installing windows xp is not availabe. and also i have the genuine windows cd but it is not readable by my computer and also I tried this cd on another computer and the cd worked on anther computer. currently I am running Windows Vista on my computer
you cant install windows via mounting with image drive.
you must burn the iso using an iso burning program like nero burning rom and then boot it form the cd on boot up.
if you are trying to just upgrade then run the setup.exe off of the cd while in windows and will install like that
