Okay, so I have posted in my previous questions that my daughter went to her first dental visit and she cried so they held her down and put a mouth prop in to get work done! Then she goes back to get a cavity filled and cries the minute we are called in. She was instantlyhelb down by a nurse shone in the face by a light, and then they cram a mouth prop in and while a nurse hold her down a dentist and assistant give her novacaine shots and drill away! Then she goes again for another cavity and this time is worse! TWO nurses hold her down while TWO DENTISTS cram the mouth prop in, shine the blinding light in her face give her numerous shots and drill away! Im seriously considering switching dentists but first I need to know if this is NORMAL procedure for a non pediatric dentist office! Im low on options so i just neeed to know if i should move or stay? Please help!
After you saw what happened the first time you should have asked that her records be sent to a pediatric dentist. At this stage take her to the specialist and hope he can remove mental scars she undoubtedly has. Fillings on children, can and must be done, in a gentle manner. What you experienced with your daughter is far from the norm in most dental offices. Good luck.
