Can somebody tell me whats wrong with my computer?
Problem: For no apparent reason my computer will restart without notice. Also when it turns back on the monitor will act as if it is disconected (the power light flashes). Sometimes for no reason the monitor acts like its disconnected without the computer restarting.

Could be several things. One is bad memory (or any bad hardware) that will cause the computer to restart and other unpredictable behavior. The other is viruses and/or spyware. If this just started happening use System Restore to go back to a point before it was (Start > All Programs > Accessories > System Tools > System Restore) note you will lose any and all applications you installed after that point but files should remain intact.
If that doesn't solve it I would suggest running a virus scanner, an excellent free one is AVG, http://free.grisoft.com/ and then scan for spyware using all of these:
Spybot S&D, http://www.safer-networking.org/
Adaware SE, http://www.lavasoft.com/
MS AntiSpyware Beta, http://www.microsoft.com/athome/security/spyware/software/default.mspx
and install SpywareBlaster, http://www.javacoolsoftware.com/
If none of this fixes the problem it has to lie with hardware, start by removing components and checking the PCs behavior, this will take time as you have to elimanate all but one of the hardware devices on your PC and find the one that is causing the problem. Of course it could be more than one...
