Antivir is a fake antispyware program that shows up on your computer as a popup that says that your computer is infected. This rogue program is promoted by fake antimalware scanners that tell you that your computer security needs repairing. In addition, Antivir downloads in the form of a Trojan virus once you click on the popups. Then, the rogue program sets itself up to run automatically, creates fictitious files that it calls 'malware' and warns you that you must purchase their program to delete them. The popups will prompt you to purchase the program, telling you that this is the only solution to fix the problem. However, you should not purchase the program or click on anything within the popups that you are prompted with.
