what are the hardware requirements for a clean installation of windows media center 2005 version.
the pc that will have mce will not be a media center pc it s just a regular pc, i may need to add the remote capability so I would need a remote control and a remote receiver .
I hear-ed that mce should come in 2 cds one for xp and the other for media center.
I know that I will need a tv card. ?

You didn't give us the specs of your computer but if will run XP it will run MCE. I'm typing this on a computer running MCE right now. You will need a TV Tuner card to watch TV but it works well. I'm using a Hauppauge win tv 150 MCE tuner card and it works flawlessly.
I have another Hard Drive running Vista that works even better. Just be sure that you get all of the updates and patches from windows update as there is some patches for MCE. And Yes there are 2 CDs.
