Is This A Good Gaming PC?
Ok, so here goes...My dad's gonna give me some cash to buy a new pc at this awesome PC shop. Now I wanna get something that's really hardcore, that will smoothly run games like Call of Duty 4, Medal of Honor Airborne, Crysis, DX10 games basically. And yeah, I went to the shops website and I checked out some of their PCs and yeah, this is what mostly fits my "budget" so tell me if this is okay, i know its kinda crappy but, will it run the games? Oh, and I dont have a desktop pc, cause of I had one then I'd obviously upgrade that. I just got a laptop so yeah...this

First off I would add another gig of ram
Running Vista will take a gig right there which means you only have a gig left to play. While that will run them it will not be top of the game.
Another gig should not cost that much more.
Second it does not state what Power supply it will have.
Make sure they give you a good one and one with at least 700 watt and not some cheapy. I say this because skimping on the power supply can wreck a whole machine.
On the video cards
there have been known issues with the 8500 8600 and 8700. some have issues I rather not take a chance myself. The 8800 is not bad IF you have case room and a good fan or two as 8800 puts out a LOT of heat so be sure that you pay for extra fans
The 9500,9600 and 9700 all are running better than the others and personally that would be my choice actually i am adding one to my system in a few weeks.
After that you will have no problems It should take anything you toss at it.

By the way while a upgrade as mentioned above to 4 GB would be really nice.
Please remember if you add 4 GB you will need to upgrade your operating system to 64 bit.
Personally i do not think Vista 64 bit is quite stable enough yet.
I would go with Windows XP 64 bit if you upgrade to 4 GB ram.
3 GB will save that and still give you plenty playing power. You can also upgrade more later when Vita 64 bit has finished working out the kinks and mroe drivers nd software is working with it well. At this time it just does not always play nice.
