What should I look at when buying a laptop?
I am going to purchase a laptop from ebay, but i'm not quite sure what all of the computer lingo means! It doesn't have to be anything grand, I just need it for searching the internet.. so space isn't that big of a deal to me. I want it to be able to pick up wireless internet though so what is the word for that so I can look to see if the laptop I want has it or not.

Step by step what all that means. First part is just the name of the computer manufacturer. In this case it's a Dell Latitude Laptop. Next is that it has a Pentium 4 M Processor. This is a pretty old CPU. WiFi is Wireless internet access. You want to make sure that any laptop has AT LEAST what is called "802.11G" or it might be listed as "B/G" WiFi. G insures that the laptop has pretty good wireless range and B is sort of slow for transferring files. A DVD/CDRW means that the disc drive can read a DVD and can also burn CDs but not burn DVDs. XP 2 is the operating system in this case Microsoft Windows XP Service Pack 2. NR is not a computer term its an Ebay term indicating that the item has no reserve.
In all honesty if you want a pretty good computer browse Newegg.com and look there you'll find deals close to Ebays and they'll be new with warranties and the like. Often the Ebay deals are average to poor in my opinion.
