Graphic card or new pc?
I am only allowed to get a graphic card gtx 460 or a new system without a graphic card.
My current system is
P4 3.06GHz HT, Asterope gl8-e mobo, Xpress 200 chipset, 8600gt, 1 TB HDD, 1.25 GB RAM.
The specs i am looking for is
i7 950, Asus 96x58d-e mobo, 4GB ram, HAF 922 cabinet
but i can only use 8600gt with it, so should i get da system or just a new graphic card??
I want to play intense games so suggest me something.
so even with a P4, if i use a gtx 460, will i be able to play todays games?
or should i get the i7 without a graphic and use it with my old 8600gt(512mb), the problem is i own a 22" widescreen monitor. So i can't get enough juice from the 8600gt.
Sounds like you have a pretty nice system already. Dont bother getting a whole new system. Best thing you can do is upgrade your RAM at this point. To play intense games, look at 4-8 gigs of RAM. Even 2 gigs will be a huge improvement, but 4 is what you should aim for. If you can pull off 8 at a reasonable price then you will be near the top of the gaming specs these days. Dont go overboard though.
Check out newegg.com. I went from a $600 budget system playing WoW on minimum settings, to being able to run WoW on high settings, by buying a $32 Graphics Card from newegg.com. Dont ever count on integrated graphics when playing games.
