Why does my computer continuously connect, then disconnect, then connect...?
My my connection icon on the tool bar will randomly disconnect, then almost immediately reconnect--w/ short bursts of connection (such as now). My computer is pretty old (Dell Dimension, 2.66 ghz P4, Win XP SP2, about 3 years old).
I'm using a linksys wk54g wireless router with 2 pc's hooked up via ethernet and one macbook pro hooked up wireless.
Maybe it's the power saving options for your LAN are set to turn the device off when not in use. Try unchecking the box and see if that helps.
