Im looking to upgrade my computer anyone know where i can get a cheap cpu/motherboard combo?
I currently have a single core 3.0 p4 im looking to upgrade to something better as the board i have will only allow up to a 3.4 pentium d 945 would the switch be worth it on a budget?? The only problem i have is my motherboard is maxed out a 2gigs ram and ive herd the 945 dual core is a terrible processor. most ppl use the e6300 well my board wont take it from what i can see so i prolly need a new board and chip?? any suggestions are welcome im using an uatx which is micro atx board so i will prolly need a combo with that type of board so it fits?
i have a 650w thermaltake power supply in atx case i assume 650w is enough power to run a decent video card and a quadcore i have 2 gigs of pc3200 184 pin which most newer boards dont take i also have pc5400 ddr2 1 gig of that just laying around ill prolly need 2x2g or 2x4g
Try tigerdirect.com or geeks.com. They are my two favorite sites. What type of case do you have? If it is an ATX case you shouldn't have any problems fitting a mobo in there whether it is ATX, mATX or uATX. It should fit in just fine.
