whats the rating on your dvd speeds,, is it a dvd burner or cdrw/ dvd rom combo,, it makes a difference,,, and what speed does your hd drive run at,, most new systems need 7,200 rpm or faster and what is data transfer rate rating on your hd drive,,, those all make a difference,, try upgrading memory to 1gb ,,,anyhow your dvd burner always seems to have a lag over cdrom or cdrw,, im not sure why it does it , but they usually do,,,,
