can anybody tell me what nvidia video card is compatible with my optiplex gx520 computer?

Well, i looked on Dell and it has 2 PCI ports and one PCI-Express X1 port. The PCI-Express X1 is a slower version, but without it you would have to get a crappy GPU. You can get any card like a 5200 to 6800 for your PCI, but those cards are old and crappy, so i would suggest not buying them. With your PCI-E port, you can get something like a 7600 or an ATI card.
