I bought a Visiontek Radeon x1300 XT AGP card my monitor won't turn on.?
I recently bought a Visiontek Radeon x1300 XT AGP graphics card from Tigerdirect and after installation my monitor will not turn on. The system turns on but the monitor doesn't. What could be the issue? I think it might be the Power Supply. Here is my PC and specs.
Dell Optiplex GX260
Windows XP: Professional
1.25 GB's Ram
2.53 P4 Ghz Processor
x1 AGP Slot
As far as the power supply goes I thought it was 240 Watts but that should be enough to power the card as the minimum requirements state you need at least 250 Watts. Will upgrading my Power Supply to 350 Watts or greater let it work? Or should I return this for a full refund?

Your monitor won't... turn on? Are you being literal or are you saying it's on but getting no signal? If the monitor won't turn on, that's nothing the card can be responsible for. As for the 250W... jesus, you can barely run a GeForce 7200 GS at that level. That's the kind of juice recommended for a GeForce 6200 or FX 5200... I don't know where you got your info but cnet.com says it needs 300W or better and Diamond's site states 420W or better for the X1300 XT AGP card. Since Diamond actually MADE the Radeon X1300 XT I'd go with their recommendation over CNET's. I'm sure that's the problem.
