can i take a DVD drive out of my old computer and put it in a newer one?
i had a Emachine desktop T2625 that came with a DVD drive, and i got a different computer, a Dell optiplex GX280. i wasnt sure if i could take the drive out of the old one and put it in the new one. they are on the same Operating system. Is it a plug-and-play?
Yes, most CD and DVD drives are "plug-and-play" - they are not really plug-and-play but almost all work without having to install drivers. It would work fine but I strongly recommend that you try to install the driver also.
