SATA harddrive question?
So I have an Optiplex GX620 with a little 80GB HD in it (I bought it refurbished), and I soon found out that I run out of space REALLY fast. So I was looking into buying a $50 500GB SATA off the Internet and my only question is if it'll fit. My current harddrive (the 80gig, which is also a SATA) looks really flat, like a laptop almost, so are all SATAs flat?

there are several versions of cases for the GX620. If you have the tiny little case version you probably have a 2 1/2" laptop size hard drive.
you best bet is to find you dell "Service Tag" on a sticker on the back usually. Go to Dell support and enter your service tag and it will give you details and upgrade options. After you find compatible hard drives on their site you can find the same models at online retailers for a lot less.
Another option is always an external drive as long as you use it as backup and not your primary storage.
