What happened to windows xp media center?
I'm not talking about windows media player, but media center (the green logo). It dissappeared from my programs list, and now I can't watch dvd's on my laptop. When I try to play it through WMP, it says that I don't have a codec (which now I have to pay for?) Did automatic updates just get rid of media center? My laptop is about 3 years old and it came with windows xp media center edition.
i don't what happened to your media center, but there is a program simular to media center called Yahoo! Go for tv on the yahoo site, and if you want to watch dvds download vlc player which can watch a lot of video formats and etc and dvds
