Laptop won't do anything after logging in?
All it shows is just the screensaver and mouse. After it loads, and if it's any help it's a latitude D620 on windows XP
I assume by screensaver you mean desktop!
Open task manager (press Ctrl+Alt+Del).
Click the 'Processes' tab, end all processes of 'explorer.exe'. Then from the menu, click File>new process>type...
explorer.exe
Click 'OK' Exit task manager and re- start.
