I am using XP 2 with Core 2 Duo processor, why it is showing pentium III Xeon processor in computer properties?
right click on computer management (local) &selecting proprties option it is showing Pentium III xeon processor
Download CPU-Z its free and will tell you for certain what your processor is.
Im not sure why windows got it wrong. Just make sure windows update has run recently.
