If iI buy a computer from dell with windows vista installed will it be 32 bit or 64 bit?
The model is a dell studio desktop with an intel core 2 quad core Q8200. 3 gig of memory.
When I go to choose the operating system I only have the choice of windows vista home premium or windows vista ultimate, but I can't choose between 32 or 64 bit.
I really want 32 bit because some of my softwear won't work on 64 bit computers.
Any help would be appreciated.
If it's got 3 Gb of Ram then it's probably 32 bit. As a rule, Dells only come with 64 bit windows for 4Gb RAM or above. If go to Dell.com, it should tell you in the specs which version of Windows it comes with
