How do I change my IBM computer's clock speed (GHz)?
I have an IBM Intel(R) Pentium(R) 4 with only 2.40GHz. Can I improve this somehow. I would rather not take my computer apart, but I will if I have to... I have a bunch of computer experience, but apparently not enough.
u say u ahve a buch of exp. but taking apart a computer is too hard. aparently ur too hard is not very hard. is this a desktop? if it is u can probably change it in the bios. to get to the bios when ur computer starts it will ask to press a key to go somewhere like delete or something.they all vary. when u press the key go into somehting like bios config or something like that. then raise any number u see by a little.save and exit. then use cpuz to see if ur cpu is overclcoked. if u mess up in the bios u will have to go into ur computer. to clear ur cmos which is restinig ur bios u have to move the jumper near the batter to the metal pin next to it for 5 secs and then move it back.after u clear ur cmos remember to correct the time in windows or else web pages and windows will start spazzing out
