My Pentium 4 ht cpu is running slower than it really is?
I have a intel pentium 4 ht 2.6ghz processor running at 1300 mhz , shouldnt it be safe for me to increase it to 2.6ghz since thats not overdoing the original speed of the cpu ? I have 2 fans 1 for the cpu and one Desktop fan.,

It sounds like it is running descently hot right now. I would double check and make sure your cpu is actually running at 1300MHz. You can find a CPU speed checking utility at www.majorgeeks.com or check the bios to find out what it is currently clocked at. Only overclock it if you're not getthing the performance you need!
