Problems with HP ScanJet 4670?
I have had this scanner for almost 18 months now and it stopped working 6 months ago when I installed SP2 on my Win XP Pro machine. I have tried numerous drivers and methods from the HP site, and none of them help. Anyone else have this problem and if you did, did you fix it and how did you fix it? There have been a few forums I have checked and I wonder if anyone on Answers has a good answer. Some of the forums say it has something to do with Intel MoBos, this is an AMD MoBo with a really good USB 2.0 hub built in and I have an auxiliary PCI USB Hub and the scanner does not work in either.
I got this scanner for the functionality (scanning 35mm slides and negatives) and the space saving-ness (being vertical)of it. I do not really want to replace it right now.
first restart it and reconnect .if this is not useful then you can uninstall it or delete it . then connect again to install it's driver again.
