Can i install windows xp from the hp disk on a custom pc?
Ok my Operative System got somehow damaged badly and it wont even boot, so i have this HP notebook computer that came with Windows XP Service Pack 2 and it says on the disk "For Distribution only with a new HP or Compaq pc. so what happends when during the installation will it fail?
It will either fail to install or fail to validate (Microsoft won't recognize it for updates and security).
Brand specific versions of software will only work on that brand.
