Why my laptop has Slow processing responds?
i have a HP Pavilion zd8000, with
Windows XP Pro x86
P4 3.2GHz,
128 MB ATI 600,
2 GB RAM,
120 GB on board HDD (about 8GB free on each of 3 drives) 2.5 TB External HDD (about 1.3 TB free)
I usually change my windows every 4 to 6 month so as a result my computer is always fairly very fast at least for my needs(mostly programing and graphic design and downloading). but i was just thinking is there any way i can at least extend this time, because after about 5 month my computer becomes very slow to respond. i have a small meter that shows my CPU percentage speed, now when i click on a program to start or on browser or even IE i do not see any percentage change on my cpu speed after 6 to 10 seconds, and also the overall speed has decreased too. i tried all Defragmenting, scanning, registry cleaning and all this softwares but at end its like some on holding my commands for like 5 to 10 seconds and then releases it. so anybody knows what can i do??????
