Can i upgrade my ram?
Hello, I have a HP D220 MT with a P-4 3.06 HT and 512 mb of ram and i was wondering it says here that 2 Gb Of ram is SUPPORTED but what if i exceed that supported limit what would happen would it crash or just not see that there is more ram?
Just dont go there, it would be more expensive, i think it would just come up with a fatal error when u turn ure pc on. Finding out probs isnt worth the money. You have to remember its not all about the amount of RAM (although 512 MB isnt much) you have to look at the speeds. You also MUST get the right type of RAM (DDR, DDR2, DDR3) i believe that your motherboard can only take DDR so the best ram would be @ 400MHz (best speed for DDR). To be honest unless you need a really good pc, 2GB of 400Mhz RAM is pretty gd. (its what i've got and it suits me fine).
