New HDD on HP laptop... wont boot XP CD?
I installed a new HDD on my HP pavilion dv1000, however when the "hp logo" comes up it doesn't say "boot from CD" to install Windows... so the computer doesn't boot up... i tried hitting F10 & F 12 but no other menu pops up.. it just says please wait.. but nothing comes up...
HELP?
nope.. DELETE wont take me to that menu.. nor F12...=///// =(((
Press DELETE (or whatever your laptop uses) to enter your BIOS setup. Under boot menu change your main boot device to CD. Insert the CD into the drive and save and exit ut of DOS saving your changes. This should boot you up with the CD. Cheers
