HP DVD 1040i cannot be recognized with windows xp?
I installed an HP dvd 1040i into my windows xp and the computer will not recognize it. How do i make the computer recognized it? I've E-mailed HP but they have not returned the E-mail.
I installed the dvd writer and the computer will not recognize the writer and it won't read the installation disk. What do i do? I already E-mail HP and they haven,t returned it.
run the installation disk that came with the drive. You could go to HP support download drivers for drive.
