Will OEM XP Home CD from a Compaq laptop work to re-install XP Home on a HP & Compaq desktops using their keys
I own a Compaq laptop, a Compaq desktop, and an HP desktop. I have a CD from my laptop that says Operating system disc - contains software and drivers already installed. It does not say restore anywhere on it. Will this CD work to re-install XP Home on all machines using their own PIK's? They all are XP Home PIK's. All machines are in the 2-3 year old range
it should work, normally they're a system restore or recovery disk. not to familiar with hp/compaq.
